News Flash!

March 5th sees us return to the newly refurbished "Poets' Corner", formerly The Eclipse.

The club welcomes back club favourite Reg Meuross, a fine singer-songwriter who will be playing songs from the new album "Short Stories" as well as some old favourites.

The Poets' Corner pub now does food as well as serving Harveys fine ales.

Please come along and get the club off to a new start in our refurbished room.

Hove Folk Club means:

  • Live words, music and performance...
  • In a room above a pub: the Poet's Corner (formerly The Eclipse), Montgomery Street, Hove...
  • Usually on the first Friday of every month (but sometimes on the second), from 8pm to 11pm...
  • And admission is a fiver minimum.

Who could ask for more?

One of the many attractive features about the Poets' Corner pub is the fact that on Fridays it continues to serve customers until midnight.  The idea is that the music ends around 11, so anybody needing to catch trains elsewhere can do so, whilst those who don't can have time for a parting glass.

The residents are Robb Johnson (thoroughgoing singer-songwriter) and Robert Rankin (novelist and stark raving genius). Floor performers are very welcome.
